Oskar Witt­mann

At 63, Oskar looks back on an entire life­time of passion for cars. To him, car care is not a super­fi­cial activity, but a ritual of appre­cia­tion to preserve the shine of his vintage cars and pass on his passion.

The next gene­ra­tion

Matthias Witt­mann

His son-in-law Matthias shares Oskar's great passion for classic cars. Both pride and a sense of respon­si­bi­lity drive him to continue the legacy.

From its modest begin­nings, the company has grown to become a compa­nion for moto­rists through all the stages of life. At the heart of our products is an under­stan­ding that a car is often more than a means of trans­port — it is a heri­tage, a trea­sure, a legacy.

Tradi­tion as a foun­da­tion

Our passion for deve­lo­ping products that care for and main­tain cars has remained unch­anged since 1950. A spot­lessly clean car is considered a new civic duty in the econo­mi­cally re-emer­ging post-war Germany.

A history shaped by gene­ra­tions

A work of the family

The SONAX brand belongs to the Hoff­mann Group. In 1903, Franz Hoff­mann founded the family busi­ness in Neuburg an der Donau. Today, the manage­ment is entrusted to the fourth gene­ra­tion of the Hoff­mann family. And gene­ra­tion five is getting ready.

The tradi­tion conti­nues

Very deli­be­ra­tely, the fifth gene­ra­tion is prepa­ring for their future manage­ment roles in the group and thus also for the SONAX brand. Thus, they too will continue the tradi­tion of the family busi­ness.

Oppor­tu­nities for the younger gene­ra­tion

SONAX is acce­le­ra­ting the next reju­ve­na­tion of the brand with its Youth Board: staff under the age of 30 years now have an orga­nised voice to help shape the future of the company in a committed and crea­tive way.

Every hand counts

From appren­tices to manage­ment, the appro­xi­mately 620 employees are probably the most important asset of the Hoff­mann Group, which pres­ents itself as an attrac­tive employer.
