1) Sanding: Depending on the depth of the scratch, sanding may be necessary. If so, first moisten the paint with water, next place one of the enclosed flower-shaped sanding pads beneath the polishing stamp and gently sand the scratch, work in circular movements and apply minimal pressure. Do not sand through to the primer and do not tilt! Afterwards, wipe off any abrasive residue with one of the enclosed Polishing Cloths. A matt area will remain. ATTENTION: Sanding is necessary in case of deep scratches only. Many scratches and marks can be removed without this step. 2) Pre-polishing: Apply a little SONAX Polish 1 from the tube to the scratched or sanded area. Fold a clean polishing cloth several times to wrap the Polishing Stamp. .Applying high pressure, polish the scratched or sanded area with the polishing stamp and polishing cloth, until the scratches or the sanding marks are no longer visible (Fig. 5). Depending on the density or depth of the scratches, this may take several minutes. If the polishing area becomes too dry, apply additional more Polish 1. A slight dullness will remain on the paint. Afterwards, wipe off polish residue with the Polishing Cloth. 3) Finish: Apply a little SONAX Finish 2 from the tube to the pre-polished area. Fold a new, clean part of the polishing cloth several times to wrap the polishing stamp again. Applying medium pressure, rub area until the desired surface shine is attained. Afterwards, wipe off polish residue with the Polishing Cloth.
